BBQ CONTEST

1. Amateur cooks only; No foods may be catered, store/restaurant bought, or prepared by individuals who prepare food for profit

2. Teams of no more than 2 people may enter the contest

3. Teams must the following meat to prepare: 25 chicken quarters,2 slabs of pork or beef ribs. Serving size must feed a total 40 people 

4. Cooking can start as early as July 1st at 6pm, and must be completed by July 4th at 10am. Samples for judging must be submitted at this time, no exceptions. The remaining cooked meats will be surrendered and disbursed to the reunion attendees for lunch.

5. Teams will be individually financially responsible for all ingredients and supplies needed to participate in the contest (ie. seasoning, marinades, aluminum foil, utensils, wood chips/coal/propane, smokers/bbq pits, pans, etc) Tableware and silverware items (ie. plates, forks/spoons/knives, napkins, and cups) will be provided by the Reunion Committee. Condiments should be provided at the discretion of the Team, as needed.

6. Teams reunion fee will be waived (plus one other family member)  for the current reunion year.  Each team member must aid and assist in cooking as well as preparing the BBQ. 

7. Teams must be present at the family reunion to be eligible to enter the judging process. Judging will commence at the start of lunch being served.

8. Majority vote counts will be conducted based on an unbiased panel of judges who will be appointed by the Reunion Committee. The team with the most votes will be awarded 1st place and have the opportunity to renter the contest the following year. Auxiliary awards for "most spirited", "most creative", etc may be offered at the committee's discretion. 

9. Any opposition to the above rules will be grounds for disqualification as deemed by the Reunion Committee.
